The Charlotte Trojans were the 57-51 winner over the Carrizo Springs Wildcats when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Charlotte's rough 64-40 defeat to Carrizo Springs on Thursday might stick with them for a while. Charlotte has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Carrizo Springs found their leader in underclassman Melanie Davila, who scored 14 points along with 8 steals and 5 rebounds. Davila has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Andrea Rangel was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 6 assists and 5 rebounds.

Charlotte's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Carrizo Springs, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 11-6.

Charlotte will head out on the road to face off against Dilley at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Carrizo Springs' road trip will continue as they head out to face Cotulla at 7:15 p.m. on December 7th. Cotulla is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.
