Baseball Recap: Steele Canyon Takes a Loss

Steele Canyon and Hilltop squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Steele Canyon had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Lancers by a score of 5-4. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Steele Canyon's defeat dropped their record down to 13-16. As for Hilltop, their win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-16.

Steele Canyon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hilltop, they will head out to square off against Mater Dei Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lancers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Crusaders have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season.
