Basketball Recap: Bishop Verot Starts Season with Win on the Road + How To Watch

Bishop Verot had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 46-45 win over the Golden Gate Titans. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Vikings also won the last time the pair played back in January.

Bishop Verot found their leader in freshman Dee Fletcher, who almost dropped a double-double with 17 points and nine boards. Another player making a difference was Bryan Broomhead, who posted eight points and six rebounds.

Golden Gate is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Bishop Verot will venture away from home to challenge Oasis at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Golden Gate, they will head out to face off against Gulf Coast at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
