Softball Recap: Genoa Area Comes Up Short

Genoa Area was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Otsego Knights, falling 11-1. The Comets were not able to make up for their loss to the Knights from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Emersen Bickel was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run. That home run was her first of the season.

Genoa Area's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Otsego, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Genoa Area will challenge Elmwood at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Otsego, they will face off against Archbold at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
