The Littleton Lions will take on the Skyview Wolverines in a holiday battle at at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
On Tuesday, Littleton didn't have quite enough to beat Kennedy and fell 38-36. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Littleton's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Vicky Whitney, who posted nine points and eight boards, and Emma Bird, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 boards. Whitney has been hot, having posted eight or more rebounds the last five times she's played.
Even though they lost, Littleton smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 17 offensive rebounds in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Skyview posted their biggest victory since February 14th on Saturday. They blew past The Vanguard School 57-33. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wolverines.
Skyview's win came from a few key players Littleton will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Yzabella Tafoya, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds. Nevaeh Lucero was another key player, going 7 of 9 on her way to 15 points and four steals.
Skyview has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points per game. As for Littleton, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Littleton has crashing the boards this season, having averaged 35.5 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Skyview struggles in that department as they've been averaging 28.9 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Littleton didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Skyview when the teams last played back in February, but they still walked away with a 46-42 win. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Lucero, who went 7 of 13 on her way to 16 points along with six boards and five assists. Now that she's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Littleton still be able to contain Lucero? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
