Basketball Recap: Blue Ridge Early College Comes Up Short on the Road Against IC Imagine

Blue Ridge Early College had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 30-26 hit to the loss column at the hands of the IC Imagine Kingfishers on Tuesday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it 15 in a row.

Blue Ridge Early College's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was McKenzie Woods, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Mia Kaylor, who posted no points and seven steals.

Audrey Jones went supernova For IC Imagine., dropping a double-double with 15 points and 15 boards. Another player making a difference was Jaedyn Miller, who had seven points and ten rebounds.

IC Imagine has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, Blue Ridge Early College will be playing in front of their home fans against Shining Rock Classical Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for IC Imagine, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Carolina Day at 5:30 p.m. on December 2.
