Baseball Recap: Farina South Central Gets the Win

Farina South Central posted their closest win since March 31st on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Altamont Indians. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 7-6 back in March.

Farina South Central saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Colton Smith, who went 3-for-6 with one RBI. Smith has become a key player for the Cougars: the team is undefeated when he posts at least three hits, but 5-8 otherwise.

The win got Farina South Central back to even at 8-8. As for Altamont, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-5.

Looking ahead, Farina South Central will be taking part in a tournament against Centralia at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Altamont, they will head out to take on Robinson at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
