Soccer Recap: Luray Comes Up Short

If Luray was feeling good fresh off their 5-1 takedown of Rappahannock County on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Strasburg Rams by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. Luray were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Strasburg apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Luray's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 1-1-1 and their overall record down to 2-2-1. As for Strasburg, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-4.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Luray is set to challenge their familiar foe Central Woodstock at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Strasburg will square off against rival Madison County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
