Basketball Game Preview: Parsons Vikings vs. Field Kindley Golden Tornado

The Parsons Vikings will take on the Field Kindley Golden Tornado on Friday. Parsons is looking for their season's first victory.

Parsons is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They lost 55-32 to Labette County back in December of 2024. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 250th, while the Grizzlies are ranked 31st).

Meanwhile, Field Kindley hadn't done well against Independence recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Field Kindley had just enough and edged Independence out 48-45. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Golden Tornado.

Parsons' defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Field Kindley, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
