Basketball Recap: Cross Lanes Christian Takes a Loss

Cross Lanes Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were beaten by the Summit Christian Academy Falcons 66-29. The Warriors were down 46-25 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Summit Christian Academy was led to victory by Bailee Martin and Ella Botts. Martin went 13 of 22 on her way to 27 points in addition to seven rebounds and five assists, while Botts went 12 for 21 to rack up 25 points along with six assists and six boards. Botts' afternoon made it 20 games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Jordin Hawks, who posted six points and eight rebounds.

Cross Lanes Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Summit Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

Cross Lanes Christian has already played their next game (against Hannan), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Summit Christian Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 59-52 loss against Narrows on the 10th.
