Summit Academy came tearing into Friday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28.8 points), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Voyageur Academy Cougar 40-6. The Dragons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by 20 points or more this season.

Everet Roberts continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 146 yards and three TDs on only 13 carries. Those three rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Oween Sudduth was another key player, throwing for 84 yards and one touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Summit Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 254 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Summit Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Kris King and Jacob Boykins. King is on a roll when it comes to interceptions, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Summit Academy's record is now 7-1. As for Voyageur Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Summit Academy will venture away from home to challenge Skyline at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Voyageur Academy, they will head out to take on Redford Union at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
