Volleyball Recap: Old Bethel Christian Comes Up Short

Old Bethel Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Acadiana Christian Lions. Old Bethel Christian was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Acadiana Christian apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2022.

Old Bethel Christian took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-16, 25-20.

Acadiana Christian was led to victory by Yvette Olivier and Addison Boudreaux. Olivier had 23 assists and five digs, while Boudreaux had 13 digs and three aces. Olivier has been hot for a while, having posted 13 or more assists the last 23 times she's played.

Old Bethel Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Acadiana Christian, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 8-0-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Old Bethel Christian will challenge rival Bishop Noland Episcopal Day at 6:30 p.m. on the 19th. Meanwhile, Acadiana Christian is set to take on their familiar foe Acadiana Home School Athletics at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
