Volleyball Game Preview: Tunstall Trojans vs. Lord Botetourt Cavaliers

Tunstall is 0-3 against Lord Botetourt since October of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Trojans will square off against the Cavaliers at 6:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Tunstall sitting on eight straight wins and Lord Botetourt on ten.

Tunstall barely beat Mecklenburg County the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Trojans put the hurt on the Phoenix with a sharp 3-0 victory on Thursday.

Tunstall never let Mecklenburg County on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-14, 25-22.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Lord Botetourt and Franklin County, and Lord Botetourt kept the tradition alive. The Cavaliers walked away with a 3-1 win over the Eagles on Thursday.

Tunstall's victory bumped their record up to 18-4. As for Lord Botetourt, their win bumped their record up to 16-7.

Tunstall couldn't quite get it done against Lord Botetourt in their previous matchup back in September of 2023 as they fell 2-0. Can the Trojans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
