Volleyball Game Preview: Lisle Lions vs. Reed-Custer Comets

The Lisle Lions will head out to challenge the Reed-Custer Comets at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last six games Lisle has played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

It was a proper cat-fight when Lisle duked it out with Herscher on Monday. The Lions narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Tigers 2-1.

Lisle had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-23, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Reed-Custer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to Wilmington.

The final score came out to 25-21, 25-13.

Lisle's win ended a four-match drought on the road and puts them at 16-17. As for Reed-Custer, their loss dropped their record down to 3-26.

Lisle beat Reed-Custer 2-0 in their previous matchup back in September. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
