Volleyball Recap: Hoopa Valley Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Hoopa Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Ferndale Wildcats, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, with their most recent loss being a 3-1 defeat two weeks ago.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Ferndale scored at least 17 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-20, 25-17.

Wau'Kel Blake paced Hoopa Valley's offense, picking up five kills. Blake got some help from Taelyr Lewis-Tracy and her 12 assists. Naress Crawford and Chloe King kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Hoopa Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 3-19-1. As for Ferndale, their victory ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 8-12.

Looking ahead, Hoopa Valley will face off against St. Bernard's at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Ferndale has already played their next matchup (against Fortuna), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
