Smith Valley entered their tilt with Sage Ridge on Tuesday with nine consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with ten. They put the hurt on the Scorpions with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-7, 25-11.

Smith Valley's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lexie Gray, who had 14 kills, six digs, three aces, and one block. That's the most aces Gray has posted since back in September. Audrina Banta was another key player, getting 12 digs, nine kills, and three aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Smith Valley was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in seven consecutive matches.

Smith Valley's victory bumped their record up to 17-9. As for Sage Ridge, with the defeat, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 7-9.

Smith Valley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Excel Christian on the 1st. Sage Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
