Basketball Recap: Everglades Starts Season with Defeat at Home + How To Watch

Everglades unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a hard 65-49 fall against the Cypress Bay Lightning on Tuesday. The Gators have struggled against the Lightning recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Everglades will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Cooper City at 7:30 p.m. on December 4. As for Cypress Bay, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 44-40 win against Sagemont Prep on the 21st.
