High Plains waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They took down the Hampton Hawks 51-36. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 49-33 on January 9th.
High Plains' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emma Brown, who went 6 of 14 on her way to 14 points in addition to six boards and three blocks. Brown is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. High Plains has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Hampton, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-15.
