Volleyball Recap: Burke Beats Lyman for Their Seventh Straight Win

Burke entered their tilt with Lyman on Saturday with six consecutive wins dating back to last season, and they'll enter their next game with seven. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Raiders. The Cougars have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Raiders, too.

Burke easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-18.

Emmie Hausmann paced Burke's offense, picking up 13 kills. Hausmann got some help from Breckynn Pistulka and her eight assists. Brianna Davis controlled things from the service line, finishing with eight aces.

Burke's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Lyman, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Burke will challenge Miller at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lyman, they will square off against Colome at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Raiders are facing the Cowboys at the right time seeing as the Cowboys are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
