Soccer Recap: Northeast Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against St. Petersburg, Northeast was happy to have turned things around on Monday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Tarpon Springs Spongers a 2-0 shutout. For the Vikings, this counts as revenge for the 4-2 win the Spongers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.

Ella Masterson and Ariana Baker scored both of Northeast's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 16 goals.

Northeast's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Tarpon Springs, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6-1.

Northeast will square off against Hollins at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Northeast is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.5 goals per game this season. As for Tarpon Springs, they will challenge Anclote at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
