Volleyball Recap: Champions Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Champions Christian Academy was the 3-1 winner over Excel Christian Academy when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Lions came up short against the Spartans on Friday, falling 3-0. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-19, 25-13.

Excel Christian Academy found their leader in freshman Nevaeh Valdes, who had four aces and one block.

Champions Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Excel Christian Academy, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Champions Christian Academy is set to square off against their familiar foe Hillsborough Baptist at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Excel Christian Academy will face off against rival Florida College Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
