Volleyball Recap: Harper Creek Takes a Loss

Harper Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Caledonia Fighting Scots. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Fighting Scots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in August.

Taegen Anderson paced Harper Creek's offense, picking up 15 kills. Anderson got some help from Andersyn King and her 21 assists. Finally, Jessa Akers kept Harper Creek's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Among those leading the charge was Avery Seif, who had 16 digs and two aces.

Harper Creek's loss dropped their record down to 29-22-1. As for Caledonia, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 22-17.

Harper Creek has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Mattawan on the 30th. As for Caledonia, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Lowell on the 30th.
