Volleyball Recap: Jackson Heights Takes a Loss

Jackson Heights lost against Hiawatha back in October of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Cobras fell 2-0 to the Red Hawks. The Cobras have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Jackson Heights was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-22.

Anna Schierling paced Jackson Heights' offense, picking up six kills. Schierling got some help from Madi Bacon and her 20 assists.

Jackson Heights' defeat dropped their record down to 15-17. As for Hiawatha, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-19 record this season.

Jackson Heights has already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Sabetha on the 11th. As for Hiawatha, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Holton on the 11th.
