Basketball Game Preview: Glendora Tartans vs. Diamond Bar Brahmas

Glendora and Diamond Bar are an even 4-4 against one another since January of 2015, but not for long. The Glendora Tartans will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Diamond Bar Brahmas at 5:00 p.m. Glendora is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.

On Friday, Glendora was fully in charge, breezing past Sierra Vista 66-30. The Tartans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 22 points or more this season.

Ronnie Herrmann was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 11 boards. She has been hot recently, having posted nine or more rebounds the last four times she's played. Brianna Gomez was another key player, putting up 16 points.

Diamond Bar has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 53-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bonita back in December of 2024. While losing is never fun, the Brahmas can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 220th, while the Bearcats are ranked 93rd).

Glendora is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.7 points per game. As for Diamond Bar, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-3.

Everything came up roses for Glendora against Diamond Bar in their previous matchup back in January of 2018, as the team secured a 62-28 victory. Does Glendora have another victory up their sleeve, or will Diamond Bar turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
