Basketball Recap: Gunnar Ament and Max Lake Secure Win for Sebeka

Sebeka hadn't done well against Menahga recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Sebeka Trojans managed a 66-61 victory over the Menahga Braves. The Trojans' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Sebeka was led to victory by Max Lake and Gunnar Ament. Lake posted 17 points in addition to five boards and four steals, while Ament went 6 for 10 en route to 18 points and six rebounds. Lake is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Trevin Lee, who had ten points and five boards.

With the win, Sebeka broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-7. As for Menahga, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

Sebeka will challenge Pillager at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Sebeka is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.3 points per game this season. Menahga has already played their next match (against Hawley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
