New Covenant came tearing into Tuesday's match with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took their game with ease, bagging a 72-44 victory over the Lynchburg HomeSchool Patriots. The Gryphons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 22 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Tristan Isenhour, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 11 rebounds. Those 26 points gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Rusty Hooks, who went 7 of 8 on his way to 16 points and six rebounds.

New Covenant pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.5 points per game. As for Lynchburg HomeSchool, they moved to 3-6 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

New Covenant will host Grove Christian School at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. New Covenant has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. Lynchburg HomeSchool will take on Regents in a holiday battle at at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Regents is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.2 points per game this season.
