Baseball Game Preview: Escambia County Blue Devils vs. St. Luke's Episcopal Wildcats

Escambia County is 0-4 against St. Luke's Episcopal since March of 2023 but things could change on Monday. The Escambia County Blue Devils will welcome the St. Luke's Episcopal Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Escambia County is headed into Monday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game dating back to last season on Thursday. They came up short against Northview, falling 12-0.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Wildcats on Friday. St. Luke's Episcopal fell just short of Millry by a score of 10-9.

Turner Tillman and Colton Duke stepped up to the plate in a big way. Tillman scored two runs while going 2-for-3, while Duke got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three RBI. Tillman also put up an RBI, which was his first of the season.

St. Luke's Episcopal's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Escambia County, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Escambia County might still be hurting after the 17-2 defeat they got from St. Luke's Episcopal in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Can Escambia County avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
