Troy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They never let the West Carrollton Pirates onto the board and left with a 12-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Troy also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2023.
Amayah Kennedy was a standout: she scored two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Maddie Wright, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.
Troy will head out on the road to challenge Arcanum at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Carrollton, they will be playing at home against Troy at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
