Football Recap: Cedar Bluff Takes a Loss

Cedar Bluff managed to slip by Sand Rock the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Tigers were dealt a 68-40 loss at the hands of the Wildcats on Friday. Even if the Tigers couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their offense, which had struggled int the games prior.

Cedar Bluff dropped their record down to 2-7 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Sand Rock, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-6 record.

Cedar Bluff will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Donoho at 7:00 p.m. on the 30th. As for Sand Rock, they will take on Gaston at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats will be up against the Bulldogs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 37.38 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
