Soccer Game Preview: Cranston West vs. North Smithfield + How To Watch

The Cranston West Falcons will head out on the road to face off against the North Smithfield Northmen at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Smithfield took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Cranston West, who comes in off a win.

Cranston West barely beat Cranston East the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Falcons blew past the Thunderbolts 4-1 on Sunday. Considering Cranston West's offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Meanwhile, North Smithfield faced Cumberland in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Northmen fell just short of the Clippers by a score of 3-2. North Smithfield's loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

North Smithfield's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Cranston West, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-3-5 record this season.

Everything went Cranston West's way against North Smithfield in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as Cranston West made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Falcons since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
