Soccer Game Preview: Rockwall-Heath vs. Pearce

The Rockwall-Heath Hawks will venture away from home to square off against the Pearce Mustangs at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday.

Last Tuesday, Rockwall-Heath didn't have quite enough to beat Rockwall and fell 3-2. That's two games in a row now that the Hawks have lost by just one goal.

Meanwhile, Pearce had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2.3 goals) and they went ahead and made it five last Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Rams a 5-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won ten matches by three goals or more so far this season.

Pearce pushed their record up to 14-5-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored ten goals over those three contests. As for Rockwall-Heath, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.

Rockwall-Heath suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Pearce in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Can Rockwall-Heath avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
