While Montgomery's win against Healdsburg wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Vikings narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Greyhounds 10-8. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.
Siena Quattrocchi and Lily Lorenz did most of the damage at the plate: Quattrocchi went 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double, while Lorenz went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run. That's the most hits Quattrocchi has posted since back in April. Kalee Murray was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
Montgomery hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Healdsburg struck out nine times.
