Twin Valley waltzed into their matchup on Monday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They had just enough and edged the Wilson Bulldogs out 7-6. For Twin Valley, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 defeat Wilson walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2023.
Erin Cromwell made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up six earned runs off nine hits (and only one walk). Cromwell has been consistent recently: she hasn't pitched less than six innings in ten consecutive pitching appearances. Cromwell was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.
In other batting news, Maggie Krall was incredible, firing off two home runs and three runs while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Emma Hahn, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.
Twin Valley pushed their record up to 12-5 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home. As for Wilson, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-3.
Twin Valley has the luxury of staying home for another game and will welcome Cocalico at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wilson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
