Basketball Recap: Eastern Shore HomeSchool Takes a Loss

After soaring to 59 points the game before, Eastern Shore HomeSchool was a bit more limited in their match on Tuesday. They were outmatched by the Northern Virginia HomeSchool Centurions and fell 64-27. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Mavericks came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 38th in Delaware, while the Centurions are ranked 219th in Virginia).

Eastern Shore HomeSchool lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Eli Miller, who posted ten points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Miller is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Zach Miller, who scored nine points.

Eastern Shore HomeSchool's defeat dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Northern Virginia HomeSchool, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 18 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-9 record this season.

Eastern Shore HomeSchool will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Greater Cabarrus S at 8:00 p.m. on March 5th. Northern Virginia HomeSchool does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
