Volleyball Game Preview: Abbeville Panthers vs. Dixie Hornets

The Abbeville Panthers will face off against the Dixie Hornets on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Abbeville comes in on seven and Dixie on three.

Abbeville is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They came out on top against Lewisville by a score of 3-1.

Abbeville had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-18, 25-20, 25-22.

McBee typically has all the answers at home, but on Wednesday Dixie proved too difficult a challenge. They put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 3-0 win.

While Dixie won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-10, 25-21.

Abbeville's victory bumped their record up to 20-3. As for Dixie, their win bumped their record up to 16-7.

Abbeville beat Dixie 3-1 when the teams last played two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
