Volleyball Recap: Dysart Extends Winning Streak to Four

Dysart came tearing into Wednesday's contest with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Cesar Chavez Champions with a sharp 3-0 win.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-18, 25-12.

Matthew Erickson paced Dysart's offense, picking up 13 kills. Erickson got some help from Jorge Serna and his 20 assists. Erickson also made an impact serving: he shared the team lead in aces with Pao Apistar, racking up four apiece.

Dysart's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-2. As for Cesar Chavez, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

The future could be bright for both Dysart and Cesar Chavez: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Dysart will look to extend Desert Sunrise's six-game losing streak when they meet at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Cesar Chavez will try to hand South Mountain their fifth-straight loss when the two meet at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
