Basketball Recap: Seton Catholic's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Seton Catholic strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 56-51 W against the Desert Ridge Jaguars. For the Sentinels, this counts as revenge for the 71-55 win the Jaguars walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2019.

Seton Catholic's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kj Fauske led the charge by putting up 22 points. Fauske's big performance that afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 22 points. Another player making a difference was Asthon Ries, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 14 rebounds.

Seton Catholic's record now sits at 3-0. As for Desert Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Seton Catholic wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 59-56 victory against Holbrook on the 28th. Desert Ridge has also already played their next matchup (against Arizona College Prep), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
