Basketball Game Preview: Riverside Academy Rebels vs. Family Christian Flames

The Riverside Academy Rebels will head out to face off against the Family Christian Flames at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Riverside Academy has struggled recently with five losses in a row, while Family Christian will arrive with 12 straight wins.

Last Friday, Riverside Academy came up short against Northlake Christian and fell 60-49. While losing is never fun, the Rebels can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 317th, while the Wolverines are ranked 145th).

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Family Christian beat St. Joseph's - Plaucheville 49-43 on Friday. That's two games straight that the Flames have won by exactly six points.

Family Christian is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 25-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.9 points per game. As for Riverside Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-9.
