Soccer Recap: Glendale Comes Up Short

Glendale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Buckeye Hawks. The Cardinals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hawks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.

Glendale's goal came courtesy of Brenda Burgos, which was the first she's scored this season.

Glendale's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Buckeye, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Glendale will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cortez at 6:00 p.m. on January 9, 2025. Buckeye will take on Verrado in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
