Basketball Game Preview: Dixon Bulldogs vs. Topsail Pirates + Official Tickets

The Dixon Bulldogs will head out to challenge the Topsail Pirates at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Dixon has given up an average of 60.9 points per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Dixon is headed into Monday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight games on Friday. They took a 65-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of South Lenoir.

Despite the loss, Dixon got top-tier performance from Noah Wright, who went 8-for-15 to rack up 22 points. Thanks to that strong game, Wright now owns an excellent 45.9% field goal percentage. Oscar Liguez was another key player, putting up ten points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, Topsail didn't have quite enough to beat Wilmington Christian Academy on Friday and fell 55-53.

Topsail's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Dixon, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.

Dixon suffered a grim 59-38 defeat to Topsail in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
