Basketball Recap: Pasquotank County Snaps 11-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Pasquotank County had lost six straight headed into Tuesday's match, but Anylah Bowe didn't let it get to seven. In a tight game that could have gone either way, the Pasquotank County Panthers made off with a 46-45 win over the Hertford County Bears thanks in part to Bowe, who dropped a triple-double on 13 points, 23 rebounds, and 14 blocks. She has been hot for a while, having posted three or more blocks the last 33 times she's played.

Another player making a difference was Veychara Eley, who posted ten points and five boards. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in blocks (two).

When it comes to explaining why Hertford County lost on Tuesday, don't look at Karae' Alfred. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 14 points and 17 rebounds. Jameilya Lewis was another key player, going 5 for 11 en route to 11 points in addition to six boards and four steals.

Pasquotank County's victory ended an 11-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-10. As for Hertford County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-8.

Pasquotank County has already played their next contest, a 50-47 win against Manteo on the 29th. As for Hertford County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 40-33 loss against Northeastern on the 31st.
