Recap: Cottonwood Colts vs. Hillcrest Huskies
The Cottonwood Colts can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They claimed a resounding 66-14 victory over Hillcrest on the road. That looming 66-14 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Cottonwood yet this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cottonwood to victory, but perhaps none more so than Carley Caton, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. Avea Van der beek was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds.
Cottonwood has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. As for Hillcrest, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-14.
Cottonwood will look to defend their home court on Friday against Stansbury at 7:00 p.m. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Stansbury has struggled recently with four defeats in a row, while Cottonwood will arrive with three straight wins. As for Hillcrest, they will head out on the road to face off against Tooele at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Tooele focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Friday.
