Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for East Ridge

East Ridge entered their tilt with Florida Christian on Saturday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with an 8-5 victory over the Florida Christian Patriots.

Sariah Espada made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched seven innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off 11 hits. Espada was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Lilly Land was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI and one double. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Lelia Bolden was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

East Ridge's record is now 10-1. As for Florida Christian, they moved to 8-3 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Coming up, East Ridge will take on Bishop Verot at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. East Ridge's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Bishop Verot's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Florida Christian, they will face off against Pompano Beach at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
