Basketball Recap: Mason Extends Winning Streak to Five

Mason won the last time they faced Marshall and things went their way on Monday too. The Mason Bulldogs walked away with a 57-50 victory over the Marshall Redhawks. The Bulldogs' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Mason's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-0. As for Marshall, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mason will venture away from home to challenge DeWitt at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Mason knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully DeWitt likes a good challenge. As for Marshall, they are taking a road trip to square off against Hastings at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
