Baseball Recap: Talawanda Comes Up Short

Talawanda was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Meade County Green Waves.

Micah Daniels was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed five innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits.

On the hitting side, Ryan Wright was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

Talawanda's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Meade County, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1.

Looking ahead, Talawanda will head out to square off against Hopkinsville at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday. As for Meade County, they will be playing at home against Harvest Christian Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
