Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Canon City). They took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 54-0 win over the Sierra Stallions. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Stallions recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Gavin Reddick and Jake Adamic. Reddick rushed for 185 yards and four scores on only ten carries while Adamic rushed for 122 yards and three TDs on only 12 carries. Adamic has become a key player for Canon City: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least 100 rushing yards, but 2-4 otherwise.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Canon City proved: they limited Sierra to a paltry 3.2 yards per carry. The team can thank Rowan Cooper for the heroic effort on defense: he. Canon City is a perfect 4-0 when they shut down the run game so well.

Canon City's defense didn't let the opposing QB, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for four sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece.

The win got Canon City back to even at 5-5. As for Sierra, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
