Soccer Recap: Havelock Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Havelock fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Dixon on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, Havelock can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 419th, while Dixon are ranked 96th).

Havelock has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Dixon, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Havelock didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 5-1 loss against Northside - Jacksonville on the 14th. As for Dixon, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Croatan on the 14th.
