Basketball Recap: St. Helena College and Career Academy Takes a Loss

St. Helena College and Career Academy lost against Istrouma back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The St. Helena College and Career Academy Hawks were outmatched by the Istrouma Indians and fell 48-9. The Hawks were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-7.

It was another big night for Eryn Brown, who dropped a triple-double on 35 points, 16 boards, and 11 steals for Istrouma. Brown's evening made it 12 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Destini Jackson, who posted no points and nine steals.

St. Helena College and Career Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Istrouma, their win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-6.

St. Helena College and Career Academy will face off against Bogalusa at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
