Baseball Recap: Alcorn Central Triumphs + How To Watch

Alcorn Central's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Myrtle Hawks a 5-0 shutout. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bears also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Jarrett Thomas made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over seven innings pitched. Thomas was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2025.

In other batting news, Jayse Johnson was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March of 2025.
