Soccer Game Preview: San Clemente vs. San Juan Hills

The San Clemente Tritons will face off against the San Juan Hills Stallions at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. San Clemente is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.9 goals per game this season.

If San Juan Hills heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when San Clemente took over last week. San Clemente came out on top against Capistrano Valley by a score of 4-2 on Wednesday. Jonah Levandofsky was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, San Juan Hills kept a clean sheet against Capistrano Valley on Friday. They had just enough and edged the Cougars out 1-0. Given the Stallions' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 147th, while the Cougars are ranked 407th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

San Clemente now has a winning record of 4-3-1. As for San Juan Hills, their win bumped their record up to 5-1-3.

San Clemente came out on top in a nail-biter against San Juan Hills when the teams last played back in January of 2024, sneaking past 2-1. Will San Clemente repeat their success, or does San Juan Hills have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
